The chemistry department is responsible for testing blood and body fluid for chemical components such as electrolytes, glucose, enzymes, lipids, and protein.  Other testing in this area includes protein electrophoresis, therapeutic drug monitoring, hormone analysis, routine urinalysis and profiles of abuse drugs.
