GOING HOME WITH BABY

TEGH has established partners in the community to assist you after discharge from hospital. You will receive a follow-up phone call from a Public Health Nurse 24-48 hours after you go home to assess how you and your baby are doing. If you wish, a nurse will visit you and the baby at home, and assess problems like dehydration, feeding difficulties or jaundice.

Your baby’s doctor should examine your baby within 2-3 days of going home. Please be sure to make this appointment with your baby’s doctor as soon as you know when you are going home.

Walk in Breastfeeding Clinic

TEGH has partners in the community to assist you in your breastfeeding experience.  The Breastfeeding Resource Centre is open five days a week (closed Wednesdays and Sundays) on a drop-in basis.  Please call (416) 469-6667 (4MY-MOMS). The Breastfeeding Clinic is located in the hospital at:  825 Coxwell Ave, Main Floor, G111.
